I found out today that the people who own Betty came and picked up the injured filly on Friday evening, despite the fact that no one knows who she belongs to, and have put her in a field close to their house and given her antibiotics. They're not sure if she'll make it but the fact that they've bothered at all fills me with hope! We really do have some fantastic and caring farmers around this patch of the moor. I'll pass on any more new of her that I get. I've been looking for a photo of her but the only possibilities are from earlier this year when they were all so hairy it's impossible to tell. Never mind. Until the next time.....

Oh good! That is great news and I do hope that the filly makes it through her injury. So reassuring to know that many of your Dartmoor commoners are caring people who love their ponies. Things are similar here in the New Forest.
ReplyDeletethat is promising news. That little grey is very pretty, she looks rather welsh.
ReplyDeleteI do hope she's OK-We need daily updates x
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show there are good people out there. I hope that her body responds to the anti-biotics and she is soon on the mend again. Thanks for the swift update and keep us posted please.
ReplyDeleteThanks everybody and I will definitely try and get another update soon.
